We offer a variety of products to fit residential and commercial needs.

As with all living things, trees and shrubs have a life span which usually last 8-10 years.  After your shrub has had it’s long life, it is time to remove  it and plant new ones. Plus Don’t spend your summer sweating the strain of lawn maintenance! The professionals at Martinez Landscaping can take care of any on-going shrub trimming and maintenance all-year-round!

Mulches are materials used as a protective cover over soil to retain its moisture and thus improve it as well. Most of the time landscapers and professional arborists use shrubs, trees and flowering plants native to Indiana. But not all soils in Indiana can perfectly grow these plants. That is the reason why most landscapers install mulches to ensure soil’s nutrients and moisture is maintained. Aside from that, mulches are also a good way of preventing soil erosion.

At Martinez Landscaping we currently carry 28 different varieties of decorative stone, offering options in every color and size imaginable. The colors range from earth tones to bright pinks and purples. They all spread fairly easily and are virtually indestructible. Decorative stones add a great deal of character while being able to closely match the color of any house.

While stones last a lifetime, there is a bit of maintenance required to keep them looking beautiful around the yard. When the color of the stones begins to become dull, simply rinse them with a garden hose. This will remove the dust and dirt that has accumulated. This process will help to bring back the stone’s original color. Spraying down the stones should also be done after they have been spread to remove all the dust that has collected during the quarrying process.

A major benefit to using decorative stones, as opposed to mulch, is that you seldom need to spread more stone. Although at times you may need to touch up certain areas, they will practically last forever.

One way to avoid feeling overwhelmed when planning a landscape design is to dream big but start small. Think about what is needed right now; perhaps a fresh new entryway or a pleasant entertaining area.

Starting with a small area close to the house is a great way to start small. For instance, if there is an area in the back of the house where an eating or entertaining area is desired, start by answering these questions.

Where will the area be located?
How and where will the area be accessed from the house?
What will the area be used for?
How big does it need to be for the intended use(s)?
What elements are desired? Include size, shade, privacy and seating locations
What plants can be used? Remember to group plants with similar water needs and sun/shade requirements together.

No Job is to small or Big for Martinez Landscaping contact us and we will help you design that small or large out door project.
